Open Water Swimming Experience

Designed to satisfy individual (solo) and relay swim entry requirements for English Channel, Manhattan, Catalina and other marathon swims.

Opportunity to step outside of your comfort zone and into a supportive group environment.Develop and enhance your Open Water swimming technique, feeding strategies, as well as an opportunity to experience swimming in the dark safely with on water patrol.

Mike is a Triple Crown Swimmer and has completed many solo swims, including Geelong to Brighton Baths (62km), 4 x English Channel crossings and Loch Ness  (37km).


1st of May to 3rd of May 2020

Friday 10 am – 2 hour session including introduction, orientation and swim.

Friday 4.00 pm – 2 hour Mandatory safety briefing and swim

Saturday 5 am – Pre-event/final briefing and Qualifier swim

Sunday AM – 7 am optional recovery swim, 8 am Breakfast, debrief and celebration

Unique Qualities

Est 1881, The Brighton Baths is Australia’s open water purpose fit venue. Equipped with an optional enclosed swimming area if required, accessible feeding stations, First Aid station including AED, Lifeguards, steam room, full serviced change rooms and a friendly atmosphere.


Inclusive of support staff and access to steam room, change rooms and showers. Advice and support from Mike.

Will include all 3 days and Breakfast provided on Sunday morning.
