In the years I’ve been training with Michael, I feel like I’ve gone from zero to hero and it’s all thanks to him!

When I started training, Michael was studying his Masters in Exercise Physiology, specializing in rehabilitation. He was a perfect fit for me, as I was trying to get back to a level of fitness after recovering from a long term neck injury. I was tentative at first to go down the personal trainer route, as I found in the past, at other gyms, they push you too hard too fast and I’d spend most weeks at the physio recovering.

Michael’s expertise and knowledge and careful personalized sessions meant I gradually got fitter and fitter and stronger and stronger. I swear I’m the fittest I’ve ever been.

His concentration on building my core to support my neck has meant I’m able to take up serious trekking, carry packs over long distances. Something I never thought I’d be able to get back into. My husband, Andrew, and I completed the Haute Route this year, one of Europe’s classic treks from Chamonix to Zermatt across the Swiss Alps. Whilst it was challenging, I felt fully prepared and actually enjoyed even the most grueling of days.
