Mary’s swim journey began over five years ago with a simple challenge: to complete 31 days of cold-water swims.
What started as a one-month commitment quickly turned into a year-long passion, as she continued swimming every day for 365 days.
Her path to success, however, began just like anyone else’s. She started by swimming to the buoy, then gradually built up her endurance by swimming to two buoys. From there, she achieved her first 1km swim, then 2km, and continued pushing herself further. Over time, these milestones led her to compete in triathlons, 70.3 Ironman events, and ultimately conquer several full marathon swims.
For Mary, the true reward lies in the journey itself—the small, incremental progress that anyone can achieve with patience and consistency. Her approach is simple: take it one step, one day at a time, and the goals will come together. Whether you’re swimming for fitness or training for an event, Mary believes that anyone can accomplish incredible things, just like she did.
